Shay Mitchell is an actressmodeland businesswoman from Canada. She is most famous for her character Emily Fields in the Freeform series Pretty Little Liars. After achieving great results with modeling and dance, she decided to get into acting and took acting lessons in Toronto. Mitchell landed a few commercials as well as guest spots in a television show. Her big break occurred when she was chosen as Emily Fields. Fans and critics lauded her skills as an actor. After that, she would become a star in the world of big screen with films like DreamlandMother's Dayand The belonging of Hannah Grace. She starred in The psychological thriller 'You', which earned the attention of a wider audience. Shay Mitchell has also written an adult novel called Bliss along in collaboration with Michaela Blaney. Shay Mitchell's parents, Mark Mitchell (born April 10 1998) and Precious Garcia, brought her up on the streets of Ontario Canada. She's of Filipina descent, and her father has Scottish/Irish origins. Mitchell is also in a close relationship to Lea Salonga. She is an actor, singer, and performer in musical theater. Mitchell was a student at Rockridge Secondary, before switching to West Vancouver Secondary. In the final stages of her teenage years she began modeling for different corporations across the world.
